Tai Chi Chuan
A martial art formally called the Frolic of The Five Animals or Five Animal Play utilizing the principles of Qigong.
Tai Chi (Supreme Ultimate) is the reality of the universe, or the first principle. It is universal, omnipresent and includes all things. The emblem of Tai Chi is a ball, (not a circle). It contains a positive portion (Yang) and a negative portion (Yin). Through the interaction of “Yin” and “Yang” (motion and stillness), the five elements (metal, wood, water, fire and earth) are produced. “Chuan” literally means “fist” or martial art. The movements of the arms of a Tai chi chuan player appears circular and continuous from one action to another as the planets revolve around the sun. The movement of one leg is positive (fully weighted or substantial) while the other is negative (insubstantial or partially touching the ground with heel, toe or foot). Tai Chi Chuan embrace the oneness of form and emptiness, stillness and motion, thought and action.
Unlike other exercises, Tai Chi Chuan focuses on developing internal energy “Chi”. Chi is the universal cosmic energy that is in all things. When Chi is weak or stagnant in our body, we become ill. Through the relaxed and graceful movements off Tai Chi Chuan, we learn to circulate “Chi” throughout our body, relaxing and healing our body and calming our mind.
Tai Chi Chuan is also known as a moving meditation. Each movement is controlled by the Mind and Breath. It’s very good for stress and relaxation, and each movement can be used in self-defense. Its exact translation is “Grand Ultimate Fist” Tai Chi Chuan is claimed to be the most effective balance and coordination exercise in the world.

Why Practice Tai Chi/Qigong - Meditation?
Aging, Sickness and Death are three inevitable laws we cannot escape. Two main types of ailments are Physiological and Psychological.
(1) Physiological Ailment:
This kind of ailment is caused by an imbalance and conflict between the human energy field and the energy fields of Heaven and Earth. Human life is wholesome by nature. This wholeness is primarily manifested and attained by one’s unification with the universal cosmic energy “Chi”.
(2) Psychological Ailments:
These kinds of ailments are mainly caused by either chronic stimulation or an acute and violent experience of the Seven Emotions, which are Anger, Joy, Worry, Excessive thinking, Sorrow, Fear and Shock. When this emotional stimulus becomes more than what a person can normally absorb and neutralize, it starts to create “Chi” disorders, causing imbalances that directly affect the corresponding internal organs and promote the development of disease.
Ways To Have Fewer Ailments:
No one wants to be sick, but being sick is one of the Eight Sufferings of Human Life. How can we avoid them all? As an ordinary human being, the first way to have less disease and agony is to cultivate our-self, to enhance one’s own positive energy field of the body and strengthen the immune system. The second way is to get on the great path to True Enlightenment and ultimately reduce the force of bad deeds (Karma) by increasing the rewards of virtue and good deeds. Then even when illness does arrive, it can be alleviated and neutralized.
Tai Chi/ Qigong - Meditation is a very good way to increase and balance the energy fields of Heaven, Earth and Humans.
